GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
The Sisters from the Our Lady of the Rosary community joined the Robert F. Kennedy School in fundraising for the province of Cristo Rey, Mexico. With the help of the Novices, they made bread and special dishes to sell at school. This is a time-honored tradition. Originally, Novices raised money to help with their expenses. Now, many Sisters join in and the funds raised go to the Congregation. As with all fundraising, it’s really about the friendraising. The Sisters love the opportunity to see former students who now are parents or grandparents of the children in the school. They experience joy watching the families enjoy each other, their children's activities, and reminisce about their own school life. The former students recall dances, science fairs, mathematics, and spelling bees. They love the food and the Sisters love them.
